VLOG - What I Did (and Ate) in Catania

Video down below!

Hello everyone! I'm finally back with another vlog. It's been quite a long time since the last one, Guillaume and I filmed some things in New York and in France, but we haven't really had the time to edit something and put it out into the world. When I booked the tickets to go to Catania with my friends Noor and Valentina, I decided that this trip would be the one that would make it on my Youtube channel.

This blog post will be a bit short since the main focus of today is on the video below, but feel free to read on to see the photos we took!

To get to Catania, we took a bus leaving from Palermo's Central Station. The bus was around 2 hours and 40 minutes long, give or take some time for traffic, and it cost 28 euros for roundtrip fare. We booked two nights in a hostel called Eco Hostel, checking in on Friday night and leaving on Sunday morning.

We didn't really have a set plan for this trip other than 'walk around, eat and take pictures' so you'll notice this vlog is full of food shots!

Catania was really nice, I'm glad we went towards the end of October because it wasn't as crowded and the weather was still relatively warm. We walked around without jackets and were even sweating during the day! I think I'd describe Catania as Palermo's chic sister, and I saw a lot of similarities while I was there that captured that 'Sicilian' essence. I will say though that Palermo definitely has better arancina (sorry Catania!).

The botanical garden is where we took the bulk of our photos. Though this garden was much smaller than the one in Palermo, it was nice to walk around and enjoy some quiet time outside of the hustle and bustle of the main street. Another plus was that it was free, we just gave our information to the person at check in and were allowed to walk right in.

Now that I've shot my first ever full vlog using just my iPhone, I hope to take a lot more videos and uploaded more vlogs in the future. I really believe that the best vlogs are entirely dependant on who you film them with, which is why I had so much fun shooting and editing this one.

Thanks for watching my friends and I eat our way through Catania, and I'll see you real soon!
